First off, you need to create an account and login. You can do this from the homepage. Once logged in, you will be brought to your dashboard. This is where you create stories. Once a story is created, you can add collaborators and begin the story!

Gameplay:

Once in the story, you will see a grid of 9 squares. Each player (collaborator) takes turns filling in the story. You are constrained to only 140 characters (arbitrarily picked number or something *wink) and must select a 'Truth' value for each square.

If 'Fact' no player can overwrite the text for the rest of the game. If 'Fiction' any player may overwrite the text on their turn. 'Fact' squares are red and 'Fiction' squares are green.

Sliding? Oh my!

Each of the squares can be moved on a player's turn. They can be moved either one space vertically or horizontally (no diagonals, sorry)

Writing in a square uses up a player's turn and moving a square also takes one turn. But you cannot do both (in one turn)!

Goal

Each player takes turn either writing new text or moving the squares. The idea behind the game is to collaboratively build upon each other's input and collectively shape the story. The game can go on indefinitely and ends when all the players decide they have had enough!

Oh the Fun...

The story is meant to be read by progressing from one square to the next horizontally or vertically (no diagonals again!) and perhaps to be coherent no matter the order of squares visited. It is intended to take the usual linear story (one page to the next) and add another dimension (literally) to tranform the way we think about narrative.

But as with all things in life... just have fun! Remember this is a game, where everybody wins (its hard to lose when there is no score), and you should play with it.
